DISAB prepares for international growth

World Cement,

The DISAB Group, which designs and manufactures industrial applications using vacuum-based technology, is repositioning itself for international growth, with a re-vitalised strategy and new branding.

Having acquired companies in Sweden in complimentary market sectors such as Tella AB, Vibramat AB and in the UK, Gotland Ltd., the DISAB Group has expanded significantly from its original focus on large mobile vacuum-based solutions for industrial waste removal, to a larger range of offerings across industrial sectors.

As part of its new strategy, the Group now manufactures a range of smaller compact waste and dust removal machines and centralised vacuum systems, in addition to vacloaders. The company has also built a sales and support organisation to cover the European markets, and is growing its distribution network in the Middle East and further abroad.

Eric Hardegard, CEO of the DISAB Group, explains the strategy: “From our original base of a small manufacturing company serving the Swedish home market for mobile industrial applications like the Centurion Vacloaders, we have grown into a significantly larger Group that markets and supports a comprehensive range of vacuum-based solutions for markets in Europe and the rest of the world.”

The strategy includes a re-branding, with the various entities within the Group to now fall under the brand name DISAB.

“With our original expansion and acquisition in place and our course set for a successful future, it was highly appropriate to look at the way we were marketing ourselves. It soon became clear that our strategy for future growth will be that much more effective under one brand name, DISAB,” added Hardegard.

As a key part of the re-branding process, Gotland will also rebrand but will continue using the Gotland name through 2012 as UK customers become familiar with the changes.
