Semcon has improved its offering within product information and engineering services in the UK by moving its operation at Kineton to new purpose-built facilities in Warwick. The move brings Semcon closer to its customers and the building is conveniently located between London and Birmingham.

Boasting modern facilities, customised for even better service, the new building also provides a more efficient workspace for Semcon’s staff.

“The location in Warwickshire is excellent, close to airports and to the M40 between London and Birmingham. Several of our customers are located in the area and the investment also gives us potential to expand in the future with excellent customer service,” says Torsten Sundin, Country Manager at Semcon Product Information UK.

The new building is the base for the 115-strong Semcon UK team. The team includes workshop technical authors, graphic illustrators and animators, method technicians, owners’ information authors and product development engineers in several specialties, as well as business support functions such as IT, HR, finance, translation coordination, business development and project management.

“We had outgrown the facility at Kineton, where we were separated across several different buildings. At our new location we are all under one roof, which means greater advantages for our staff, in terms of shorter communication paths and a greater opportunity to easily work together,” Torsten explains.

An inauguration event is planned for the staff at the end of March and externally with customers in May.
