Pikalevsky Cement records 8% increase in production levels

World Cement,
Pikalevsky Cement, part of the Eurocement Group, produced 628 900 t of high quality and environmentally friendly cement in the first five months of 2014. This represents an 8% y/y (46 617 t) increase compared to the same period in 2013. In May 2014, cement production totalled more than 185 300 t, 18.1% (28 408 t) more than in May last year.
In January – May 2014, the company shipped its customers 638 100 t of cement, 7.6% (44 935.7 t) more than in January – May 2013. During the same period, shipments of bagged cement stood at 25 900 t, a 14.3% y/y (3249.25 t) increase compared to January – May last year. The total volume of cement shipments in May 2014 amounted to 188 900 t, 9.5% (16 449.16 t) more than in the same period in 2013.
