The Voronezh branch of the Eurocement Group has supported the international campaign "Earth Hour" during which WWF calls for lights and electrical appliances to be turned off for one hour as a sign of compassion to the future of the planet. Earth Hour was held on 19 March from 20:30 to 21:30.

The annual international event held by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in the last Saturday of March calls on all - individuals, organisations, schools, municipalities, commercial establishments – to turn off lights and other non-vital electrical appliances for one hour, to stimulate interest in climate change, energy, and the unification of mankind. In Russia, Earth Hour has been held since 2009.

Voronezh companies decided to support this action. On 19 March 2016, the company disabled gallery conveyors, disabled 190 fluorescent lamps with 40W each and ventilation with a total capacity of 37kW. In total, it will save 112.8 kW of electricity.

Employees also cut off one hour of lighting and electrical appliances at home.
