Cement consumption rises year-on-year in Lanzarote
According to the Instituto Canario de Estadística (ISTAC), 3312 t of cement was sold in June 2013. This was 43.8% higher than the 2303 t despatched in June 2012, but 18.83% lower than the 4081 t sold in May 2013. On an accumulated basis, cement sales in Lanzarote increased 16.3% y/y in January – June 2013, rising to 19.326 t.
Overall, cement sales reached 37 062 t in the Canary Islands in June 2013, this is lower than the previous month, when sales came in at 40 094 t.
