Staff from the concrete division of Tudor Griffiths Group have made a donation to Nest Jenkins, a farmer’s daughter from Lledrod, Aberystwyth, who has secured a place on a voluntary projects in Patagonia.
Dave Morris, who leads the division, said they heard about Nest’s charity dream through her parents, Endaf and Meiner, who are regular customers of the business.
“We were impressed with Nest’s ambitions and we wanted to show some support towards her aim of reaching the other side of the world,” said Dave.
“She has been chosen as part of a volunteer project to go to Patagonia later in the year where she will develop her skills and help to maintain the close relationships that have been developed between the country and Wales itself.”
Nest will join 25 other young people, who will each raise £2400 to take part in the initiative. She has said that support from local companies such as the TG Group was invaluable in helping her reach her goal.
“I am extremely grateful to all the local companies who have already backed my campaign, and would like to thank the Tudor Griffiths Group for their very welcome support,” said Nest.
