Building construction cost index
The building construction cost index in Turkey increased by 1.2% compared with 3Q13, by 7.2% compared with 4Q12 and by 5.1% compared with the four-quarter average in 4Q13.
In 4Q13, labour index increased by 1.3% and material index increased by 1.1% compared with 3Q13. The quarter also saw a 7.3% y/y increase in labour index and a 7.1% y/y increase in material index compared to 4Q12.
Turnover in construction sector
In 3Q13, turnover in the country’s construction industry increased by 4.6% compared with 2Q13 and 16.4% compared with 3Q12.
Production in construction sector
Production in the construction sector increased by 1.9% in 3Q13 compared with 2Q13 and by 8.2% compared with 3Q12.
