World Cement,
Eurocement’s Podgorensky plant, located in Russia’s Voronezh region, has achieved ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certification for its production, shipment, packaging and transportation of cement.
The audit of the quality management system at the plant included inspection of the planning of the products, the processes associated with the consumer, procurement, provision of production and services, and management of the equipment for measuring and monitoring. This inspection was preceded by an internal audit conducted by plant specialists, as well as pre-certification audit.
The new plant, which is one of the most environmentally friendly, energy efficient and technologically advanced in Russia, carries out continuous quality control from raw materials to the shipment of finished products to the consumer. The quality of all cement products is confirmed by a voluntary certification system. The new facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery from FLSmidth. Use of automated systems in the laboratory significantly improves the quality of sampling and sample preparation and, therefore, the quality of the final products.
