LEILAC pilot: testing is now set to commence

Supported by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme and extensive industrial backing, the LEILAC pilot has been built. This is a significant moment in the application of Calix’s Direct Separation technology, and the cumulation of many years of work by all of the project partners.

Starting in 2016, the project team has had highly collaborative approach: with close cooperation across research, development, design and engineering activities.

The dedication and agility of all the people involved and supporting this project has resulted in the construction of this highly innovative, significant, first of a kind pilot - on time and on budget.

Testing is now set to commence and start to validate the performance of the pilot, and a significant step in enabling Direct Separation to become one of the principal methods of capturing the carbon emissions from the lime and cement industries.

TITAN Group release first quarter results

Titan Group had a positive start to the year with sales up by 2.4% at €638.4m, thanks to firm pricing, sustained volumes in cement, and growth in volumes in other core products.
