FLSmidth launches air pollution control solution
FLSmidth has launched a new, state-of-the-art catalytic solution within air pollution control technology to meet strict hydrocarbon component emissions requirements in the US. The CataMax™ will help cement plants meet the emissions regulations set out by NESHAP.
In 2007, FLSmidth's Global R&D Test Centre in Dania and the Technology Development department joined the CEL™ (Certificate in Entrepreneurial Leadership) programme at the Danish Technical University. It was named as the most promising technological idea in a business competition amongst ten leading Danish companies. Since the completion of the programme, extensive tests at the Global R&D Test Centre have been conducted in close cooperation with the FLSmidth organisation worldwide. A small CataMax catalytic solution treating a minor fraction of the process gas is currently operating at a cement plant in the USA. The results are promising, with emissions levels coming in below NESHAP regulatory requirements.
