Seaton Sluice Middle School in Whitley Bay were aided in solving a problem by employees of Cemex UK. The school’s wildlife area, which is used to teach pupils about biodiversity and in science projects, was rundown and In need of some TLC. Cemex colleagues in the North East lent a hand by rebuilding footpaths, sprucing up bug hotels, building a new toad pond, putting up bird boxes and planting wild flower seeds. All of their hard work was greatly appreciated by the school, its teachers and its pupils.
