New senior appointment at Aggregate Industries

Continuing to strengthen its senior team, Aggregate Industries has appointed Lee Sleight as the new Managing Director of its Readymix Concrete division and member of the company’s Executive Committee.
With 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, Lee brings with him a proven track record as a leader in concrete business. Lee has held various senior leadership positions for building material suppliers and has vast experience in heavy side construction.
Over the years he has developed his career in the industry in both operational and commercial roles, and most recently was Business Unit Manager for Sika Limited. Under his leadership, the company continued to grow its market share in concrete, while steering the business through the recent pandemic.
Commenting on his appointment, Lee Sleight said: “I am delighted to be joining Aggregate Industries and look forward to helping the business navigate the challenges posed by a post-pandemic recovery. In a market that’s always changing and evolving, it’s never been more important to understand what customers need and ensure we deliver innovative and sustainable solutions that solve real life problems. Lee succeeds Barry Hope, who will remain on Aggregate Industries’ Executive Team managing strategic projects in his new role as Business Development Director that will further consolidate AI’s position in the UK market. Barry has been with the business for 10 years and has been previously Managing Director of the Cement division.
