Hanson has announced that recruitment for the 2016 intake of the company’s Leadership, Education and Development (LEAD) higher apprenticeship programme is under way.
The programme is aimed at attracting future supervisors and managers and Hanson is hoping to entice enthusiastic school leavers who are keen to learn and develop supervisory skills in a hands-on environment.
The first three years are spent gaining experience and relevant qualifications in operational aspects of Hanson’s business. This runs alongside completing a foundation degree at the University of Derby by distance learning that will eventually lead to an honours degree in mineral extractives management.
All study will be fully funded by Hanson and participants will also be paid a competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package.
