Gebr. Pfeiffer to supply a second MVR mill to Hauri KG

Gebr. Pfeiffer will supply an MVR 1800 C-2 vertical roller mill to Hans G. Hauri KG Mineralstoffwerke in Bötzingen, Germany.

The company, which specialises in processing phonolite rock quarried in the local area, has been using MPS mills from Gebr. Pfeiffer since 1969. In 2006, Hauri KG installed its first MVR vertical roller mill (type 1800 C-4).

The new MVR mill will replace a spring-loaded MPS 125 A vertical roller mill, which was supplied by Gebr. Pfeiffer in 1975. The MVR 1800 C-2 is designed to achieve the same product fineness as the existing mill, whilst also increasing capacity by around 50%.

Erection is scheduled for spring 2016.
