Steppe Cement reveals increase in sales volumes and revenue for 2014
According to preliminary, unaudited results released via the London Stock Exchange, Steppe Cement Ltd achieved a revenue of KZT20,925 million in 2014, up 7% y/y.
The Kazakhstani cement manufacturer sold more than 1.6 million t of cement in the 12 months ending 31 December 2014. This is 18% higher than the 1.37 million t sold in 2013.
The company achieved a market share of 19% in 2014, an improvement on 2013’s 17%. Kazakhstan’s cement consumption is estimated at 8.5 million t for 2014. The country exported some 0.5 million t of cement last year and imported around 1.1 million t.
Steppe Cement’s full, audited results are due to be released in April.
