In the UK, Hanson Cement has once again been recognised for its high standards of fleet operation with the FORS gold award. The cement and building materials company has a fleet of 193, and is assessed annually under a voluntary commitment to the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme. The scheme aims to ensure that operators work lawfully and to best practice.
“This FORS gold award demonstrates that we take safety and compliance extremely seriously,” said Matthew Barlow, supply chain director. “It is testament to the commitment of our team that we have maintained this top level of accreditation.”
FORS covers management, vehicles, drivers and operations.
