Awards, visits and events at Eurocement plants

Eurocement’s Lipetskcement has been presented with an award for service to the city of Lipetsk. The award recognises the plant’s contribution to the city in terms of socio-economic and cultural development and charitable activities. Deputy General Director – Technical Director, Igor Zvyagin, was awarded ‘Lipetsk – City of Masters’ for his contribution to the company’s development, its high production performance and long-term trouble-free operation.

Nevyanskiy Cementnik

The President of Eurocement Group, Mikhail Skorokhod, visited Nevyanskiy Cementnik and held a meeting with the plant’s leadership and the contractors working on the plant’s modernisation. During the meeting, Mr Skorokhod noted the importance of the leadership team in the modernisation of existing production facilities and in introducing innovative technologies. During the visit, the working group – including Vice President of Economics and Production, Sergey Susev, Vice President for Technical Development, Sergey Viktorovich Marchenkov and Advisor to the President, Viktor Curly, visited the Shuraliskogo limestone quarry, where a demonstration was held of a new Chinese truck that works on compressed natural gas. The truck is in its second month at the facility. The working group was also able to discuss the results of the technical plant audit by KHD/ZAB, who have proposed a modernisation project to increase clinker production to 3600 tpd.


At Akhangarancement, an event was held under the slogan, ‘We are here to live and work!’. Workers cleared winter debris from the industrial area, planted flowers, trimmed the trees in the orchard and carried out preparations for some road improvement work. More than 400 tools and 10 units of vehicles were used during the one-day event.
