Akhangarancement and Oskolcement report increased production levels in January 2015

Akhangarancement, part of the Eurocement Group, reported a steady increase in production levels in January 2015, compared to the same period last year. During the month, the company produced 137 500 t of cement, an 18.5% y/y (21 439 t) increase over January 2014.
During the reporting period, Akhangarancement shipped 133081 t of cement to its customers, a 15.5% y/y (17 836 t) rise compared to the same month a year earlier. The company also reported a 35.7% (8286 t) increase in shipments of bagged cement. Moreover, the company exceeded its planned production of refractory bricks by 39.5%, recording an output of 156 t in January 2015.
Oskolcement
Meanwhile, Oskolcement produced 145 029 t of cement in January 2015, a 2.9% y/y (4205 t) increase compared to the same month last year. During the month, the company shipped its customers 153 108 t of finished products, exceeding last years result by 25% (38 277 t). Self-shipment also increased by 44.1%.
