Akhangarancement, part of the Eurocement Group, increased its clinker production in May 2017 to 129 222 t, and increase of 13.8% compared to May 2016. The company shipped 171 t of high-quality cement, which is 3.7% more than in May the previous year.
According to CEO of JSC Akhangarancement, Gennady Kulikov, “high production rates can be achieved thanks to the quality of the repair campaign conducted in the 2016 – 2017 season. In addition, the company is working on improving the operation of the equipment. In particular, in order to reduce the moisture content of raw sludge and respectively fuel consumption for clinker calcination, conducted research on the use of slurry diluent. Great attention is paid to staff development. As part of the exchange programme between related enterprises of the Eurocement Group, rotary kiln machinists from the plant have been trained at Oskolcement, while the improvement of rotary kiln management has helped to significantly increase the utillisation and efficiency of furnaces.”
Akhangarancement plans to continue to increase production performance and set new records.
