All of Hanson UK’s operational sites will stop work for an hour on Monday 16 October, between 7 am and 8 am, in order to carry out a series of health, safety, and wellbeing related activities.
The aim of the stand-down is to get everyone thinking about their own safety and the safety of colleagues, drivers, contractors, and visitors, as the company works towards its target of zero harm.
CEO Daniel Cooper said: “The key message we will be reiterating to our team is that they should always challenge unsafe behaviour and stop a job if they think it is unsafe.” Customers have been advised of the safety stand-down and service levels should not be affected.
