SUEZ environnement group has unified all of its 40 brands under one single brand. SUEZ environnement is present in 70 countries around the world, and includes SITA among its group companies. SITA UK is a recycling and resource company that provides solid recovered fuel known as ‘Climafuel’ to the cement industry. It recently began commissioning a new Climafuel production facility that will supply Cemex’s Rugby cement plant.
The decision to bring all of the group’s brands under one umbrella is in line with SUEZ environnement’s strategy to position itself upon the four pillars of: smart water and new services; industry; waste-to-energy; international growth. Whereas the group previously organised itself around two main activities – water and waste – it has now shifted its focus to the sustainable management of resources, namely:
- Recycling and reuse of waste.
- Water treatment solutions.
- Consulting services for sustainable urban and regional development.
- Management of the extended water cycle.
According to the group, consolidating its brands under one identity aims to help it meet the needs of customers in the face of new environmental and societal challenges, ‘reinforce the convergence’ of the group’s activities in order to address the challenges of a circular economy, and to simplify brand identity for improved performance and commercial efficiency.
