Summit Materials appoints Steven Wunning

Summit Materials Inc. has announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Steven H. Wunning as a new Director. He will also serve on the Compensation Committee.
Tom Hill, CEO of Summit, commented: “We welcome Steve, with his more than 40 years of industry experience leading global operations and driving improved performance. Steve brings to the Board a valuable perspective as a successful business executive and seasoned board member. His deep acumen in managing expanding organisations, implementing best-in class logistics practices and integrating complex acquisitions will be a positive contribution to Summit’s materials-based growth objectives.”
Howard Lance, Chairman of Summit, added: “We are delighted that Steve has agreed to join our Board. Summit is fortunate to have a diverse team of highly respected business leaders serving on its Board. Steve is a great addition to this group and we anticipate he will add significantly to the depth and quality of our decision-making processes.”
Steven H. Wunning served as Group President and Executive Office Member for Caterpillar Inc. from January 2004 until his retirement in February 2015.
