World Cement,

Lafarge Spain’s Turo de Montcada quarry received a visit from the General Directorate of Environmental Quality of the Generalitat of Catalonia, led by Assumpta Farran. Farran was accompanied by Marià Martí, director of Parc de la Serra de Collserola, José Luis Coleto, director of the Lafarge plant, technicians from ACER and others. The purpose of the visit was to show the quarry restoration activities, which include the provision of facilities for the public to enjoy.

ACER has been coordinating with Lafarge and the management of the Sierra of Collserola Turo through a Stewardship Framework Agreement. Assumpta Farran was particularly interested in the efforts made to engage the public in use of the site, which enable people to enjoy the territory in a responsible way.
