New orders for Cargotec

World Cement,

Cargotec has recently received three new orders for the mobile Siwertell ship unloaders for ports in Denmark, Turkey and Sweden. The high capacity unloaders ensure dust free operation, as well as low noise emissions and environmental impact.

The first order for Muhammet Gümüstas in Trabzon, Turkey, has already undergone commissioning. The diesel-powered, trailer-based 10 000 S unit can handle 300 tph of cement, and includes a dual bellows system and dust filters. A similar unit will soon begin commissioning in Aalborg, Denmark, for Aalborg Portland. This system was integrated into an existing mechanical receiving system at the port. Finally, Fortum Värme, Sweden, has ordered an electrically-powered, gantry-based ATEX-classified Siwertell 15 000 s unit. The system, which has a 330 tph capacity, will be commissioned by the end of 2013. Fortum Värme is co-owned by the City of Stockholm and is building a new fuel handling facility in Gothenburg with the aim of increasing biofuel consumption in the country. The Siwertell system will handle olive kernels, wood pellets and wood briquettes.

According to Jörgen Ojeda, Cargotec Sales Director, “The Siwertell road-mobile unloader is a perfect choice for clean, dust-free, handling of dry bulk material. Its unique design makes the Siwertell unloader one of the most environmentally friendly shore-based ship unloading systems available. Dust-free handling and low energy consumption, along with minimal exhaust and sound emissions, also mean that it has the advantage of being able to be used in sensitive sites or those close to populated areas.”
