The NSSGA and Institute of Quarrying (IQ) distance learning programmes are now being offered to all NSSGA members. The programs consist of a one-year Graduate/Management Conversion Programme and a three-year Junior Management Programme.
“The men and women who work in the aggregates industry are our most precious resource. These programs are a great way for individuals and companies to invest in their dedicated staff and improve the entire industry workforce,” said Rick Feltes, Chairman of NSSGA’s Meetings and Education Committee. “We hope that you will take advantage of these invaluable ways that aggregates operators can up-skill talented employees and help them reach their full potential.”
The Graduate/Management Conversion Programme is intended for management-level employees who need to gain a more specific understand of the aggregates industry and the quarrying process. The Junior Management Programme, geared toward employees with management potential, provides essential knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the aggregates industry.
NSSGA partnered with the UK-based Institute of Quarrying in the courses’ development. The IQ is an international organisation whose objective is to promote improvements in operational performance through education and training.
“LafargeHolcim’s employees have benefitted from the quality educational programs that IQ offers. I applaud NSSGA for offering aggregates industry professionals these opportunities to grow their careers,” said Guy Edwards, CEO of LafargeHolcim-United States.
