World Cement,
Congratulations have been sent to the team at Wangford Quarry for reaching 20 years LTI free last week – totalling 7305 days. The team consists of David Harmer, Kenny Bond, Jimmy Snowling, Ken Chapman and Tom Chapman. Jimmy Snowling, a local maintenance contractor from Harleston Engineering, commented: “It’s a tremendous achievement and a record that could go on for some time.”
Congratulations have also gone to the team at Hyndford Quarry who reached the milestone of 12 years LTI free last week. This was celebrated by all staff on 2 December during the weekly meeting. “This is a great achievement and one we can all be very proud of,” commented Kevin Hill, Quarry Manager. “I would personally like to thank all staff, contractors and hauliers for their safe contribution and great attitude towards Health and Safety, and ensuring that we can continue to operate as a safe site. There is nothing more important than people going home safe at night to their families.”
