New Chairman of the Association of Cement Producers in Poland

President of Górazdze Cement SA, Ernest Jelito, has been elected as the new chairman of the Association of Cement Producers in Poland. He was elected during a meeting of the associations board in December 2018 in Krakow.
Jelito will replace Andrzej Ptak, President of the Ozarów SA Group. Ptak resigned from his post to enter retirement on 1 January 2019. The announcement of the change took place on 14 December 2018. Representatives from the cement industry applauded Ptak for his years of work for the association and welcomed the new chairman.
Jelito is a graduate of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. He has been a technical director for HeidelbergCement and managed strategic projects regarding investment, technology, R&D, and innovation in all company activities. From 2015, he has been president of the board for Górazdze Cement, as well as being general director for the Górazdze Group.
The Association of Cement Producers in Poland was founded in 1990. It is an industry spokesperson for state administration bodies, local government bodies, local government administration, non-governmental organisations, and other institutions. It is a member of the European Cement Association, Cembureau.
