Building materials producer Holcim Germany GmbH and the Gerdes + Landwehr Group have launched a new joint venture. The venture will concentrate on the nationwide logistics of ready-mixed concrete and was launched in December 2018.

Based in Sulingen in Lower Saxony, at the heart of BetonNet GmbH will be transport for many of the around 90 Holcim concrete plants nationwide. Additionally, the company will offer expanded services as required.

BetonNet GmbH is a newly founded company that is a wholly owned subsidiary of the joint venture SiloNet GmbH. It is managed by John Henrik Landwehr and Marco Reemer.

“Logistics plays a central role in customer supply and we want to manage this important resource ourselves in the future,” said Thorsten Hahn, CEO of Holcim Germany. “In recent years, Holcim and Gerdes + Landwehr have already successfully cooperated with the joint venture SiloNet in the field of cement transport. We now want to gradually transfer this successful model to concrete logistics for Holcim in Germany. In addition to many other points, the important issue of driving safely will play a central role.”
