Tarmac donates hi-vis jackets

Just before Christmas, Tarmac’s Tunstead Cement Plant donated 50 children’s and 15 adults’ high visibility jackets to Buxton Junior School. The jackets are intended for use when the children go out on class visits, as well as when walking to the swimming pool. Linda Grooby and Lucy Smith from Tarmac presented the jackets.
Cecilia Minter, Buxton Junior School's Head Teacher, said: “We are very grateful that Tarmac have been able to donate these hi-vis jackets to our pupils. They will help keep our children safe and make sure they can be seen when they are out of school.”
Lucy Smith, Tarmac’s environment co-ordinator at the Tunstead site said: “Safety is at the heart of everything that Tarmac does as a business and were we delighted to help enhance the safety of the children on their excursions.”
