Cement production and export statistics from Russia and Georgia
Russia
Akhangarancement, part of the Eurocement Group, has reported an increase in cement and clinker production levels in January – November 2013. Approximately 1.07 million t of clinker and 1.47 million t of cement was produced during the period, up 11.7% y/y and 2.2% y/y, respectively. Cement shipments were 2.1% higher than in the first 11 months of 2012, coming in at 1.46 million t. Shipments of bagged cement grew by 17.4% y/y to 46 524 t.
Georgia
According to local reports sourced from the National Statistical Service of Georgia, approximately 411 730 t of cement worth US$30.38 million was exported to Azerbaijan in the first 11 months of 2013. This represents a 2.35% decline in volumes compared to the corresponding period in 2012 when around 423 240 t of cement was exported to Azerbaijan.
