Loesche mill used to grind quick lime

In 2007 Almamet bought a used LM 12.2 Loesche mill for its Duisburg location, taking advantage of spare parts deliveries and deployments by Loesche’s service team to ensure a smooth running operation at all times.

Having relied of Loesche’s comprehensive scope of products, Almamet selected a Loesche roller mill to grind the quick lime. The end customer explicitly asked for a European make and, due to their previous good experience with Loesche at the Duisburg location, Almamet recommended the technology made in Dusseldorf. The Dusseldorf team was able to maintain the very tight schedule the project demanded.

Almamet has now commissioned a brownfield project, one of the smallest Loesche mills: a LM 12.2 type mill, on behalf of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works. This vertical roller mill, with an output of 12 tph and a transmission power of 112kW, is used to grind quick lime at a fineness of 4 % > 0.09 mm.

Besides the vertical roller mill, the scope of supply also includes the other major equipment such as the filter, the fan, the regulating flap valves and the entire process instrumentation.

A period of 6 months is allowed for delivery so that the Loesche roller mill can already be put into operation in August 2016.
