SCG acquires Vietnam Construction Materials

World Cement,
SCG Cement-Building Materials Company Ltd., a subsidiary of SCG. As acquired 100% equity in Vietnam Construction Materials JSC, which is an integrated cement operator in central Vietnam.
The enterprise value of the transaction is US$440 million, including net debt and additional efficiency improvement investment to the required assets.
A cement production capacity of 3.1 million t in central Vietnam will be acquired, providing the potential for further efficiency enhancements to the total capacity. Following the transaction, SCG will have a combined cement capacity o 10.5 million t across the ASEAN region.
