World Cement,

At the end of April, the president of CHRYSO Philippines Inc., Francois Nguyen, welcomed more than 70 people from the Manilla (Philippines) ready-mixed and precast concrete industries. The event was held to discuss the main local technical challenges in the industries, which include the following:

  • Workability retention.
  • Hydration temperature.
  • Quality of concrete.

Marc Plancon, Concrete BU Deputy Director of CHRYSO, presented the following technologies, CHRYSO®QUAD, LSS, FILL-FREE®, and CHRYSO®Optima 1000, in the Philippines context (e.g. synthesis of the company’s analysis of the chemistry of local cements). The technologies were presented to improve the performance and robustness of local concrete and precast; reduce costs/m3 of concrete and precast (formula and non-quality); and create opportunities for concrete and precast industrials to expand their business.

These technologies, associated with the company’s local technical support capacity (seven technicians) and the international Group’s technical network of experts, are expected to enable the provision of tailor-made solutions that match the requirements of local concrete and precast producers.
