World Cement,

Loesche is supplying a CCG grinding plant for Siam City Cement Ltd. (Lanka), which will be used in the harbour area of Galle on the southern tip of Sri Lanka as part of an expansion of the Ruhunu cement plant.

A wide variety of cement types can be produced with the compact CCG grinding plant. At its heart is the Loesche vertical roller mill (VRM), which grinds clinker and granulated blast furnace slag into portland limestone cement (PLC) and portland slag cement (PSC), with a throughput of up to 60 tph.

The advantages of the Loesche CCG plant, with its reliable components, are in part due to the fact that it can be adjusted to different products. As a result, Siam City Cement can react flexibly to changed market conditions and also has the option of trying product test runs for new markets. In addition, the CCG also has a low specific energy consumption and is easily maintained. Thanks to its modular structure, the Loesche CCG is ready for operation after a short, low-cost assembly period. The delivery time to the Ruhunu plant will take eight months, meaning that the grinding plant can be put into operation as early as June 2018.

In order to meet demands, this new CCG system has been designed with a larger, high-performance mill. This jumbo version, with its higher capacity, has been added to the Loesche portfolio.
