Siam Cement Group invests in marketing new innovative Tiger Cement product
Thailand’s Siam Cement Group (SCG) produces and distributes Elephant Cement and Super Cement, and has recently pledged 100 million baht to market a new Tiger Cement product in accordance with its marketing concept of ‘Value-adding Today and Tomorrow for Everyone’.
The company’s drive to improve product performance and innovation has led to ventures in nanotechnology research to improve cement properties. The new formula ensures stronger and more solid cement through boosted molecular power. The product is also certified by SCG Cement’s 'Eco Value' label, highlighting these environmentally friendly properties. The product is made with a production process technology which helps reduces greenhouse gases and is kept fresh with humidity-proof plastic bag layer innovation.
The company’s president, Pramote Techasupatkul, said the new marketing budget of 100 million baht not only involved the development of new-formula cement in accordance with the company's product innovation policy, but also provided a platform to communicate with its solid customer base whilst reaching a broader scope of end users, construction builders and contractors across the country.
“We are confident that with the new formula cement drive, assisted by an improved economic condition and decline in cement price market competition, SCG Cement will reach a target of a 5% growth by the end of this year, which is in line with a 5% forecast of cement consumption growth in Thailand this year," Techasupatkul added.
