Zuari Cement expands its market reach
Italcementi’s Indian subsidiary Zuari Cement is set to increase its market reach with the construction of a new 1 million tpa cement grinding plant. The new plant will be located in Solapur District in the state of Maharashtra, enabling the company to meet growing demand in the region. The site forms part of the cement producer’s plans to expand its presence across the southern and western areas of the state. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on 30 October 2013, and the facility is expected to start operating in 2Q15.
