Lafarge India appoints new CEO

Lafarge India has announced the appointment of Mr Ujjwal Batria as CEO, effective 22 June. Mr Batria succeeds Martin Kreigner, who has been appointed future Area Manager Central Europe of Lafarge Holcim.
Mr Batria joined Lafarge in 1999 and has held different positions across the company since then. Prior to this appointment, Mr Batria was Managing Director of Lafarge India Pvt Ltd, managing the company’s cement business. The company reports that he brings a rich and diverse experience in the construction material industry to the role.
