World Cement,
Indian manufacturer Ambuja Cement has launched its new premium cement product, Ambuja Plus, in the state of Maharashtra. Ambuja Plus is a high quality PPC cement with advanced SPE technology that makes concrete stronger and easier to work with. It is packed in a special tamperproof bag that keeps moisture out and retains the freshness of cement for a longer period of time. The product is aimed mainly at small consumers or individual house builders.
Ambuja Cement has been a big player in the Maharashtra cement market since 2002, when the company first set up its integrated plant. Ambuja currently produces some 3.6 million tpa from its Maratha plant in Chandrapur and a bulk commercial terminal in Panvel. Speaking at the Maharashtra launch event, Ajay Kapur, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ambuja Cement, noted how the company’s presence in Maharashtra has led to a mutually beneficial relationship.
With the launch of Ambuja Plus, the company's customer services will be extended through its Customer Support Group (CSG). Ambuja’s CSG, which comprises expert civil engineers and technical advisors, provides end-to-end, value-added technical services at a nominal fee for contractors and customers that are building smaller houses for personal use.
