Ambuja Cement’s Customer Support Group (CSG) is bolstering its focus in Gujarat.
Ambuja Cement is planning to train 18 000 masons and 15 000 contractors across India with certified construction courses by 2020.
The training program incorporates theory and practical sessions on masonry tools, selection of good quality building materials, right mix proportion, methods of mixing, brick masonry, flooring, plastering and concreting. Ambuja Cement has trained around 5000 people for masonry skills in the region thus far.
Ambuja Cement also operates 35 concrete laboratories in the west, which test concrete for its workability and strength. These laboratories are located in all the major centres of Western India. Customer Support Engineers visit the construction sites during major concreting operation and provide guidance to customers on producing high strength concrete.
