Dalmia Cement signs MoU to develop watersheds in India

According to The Hindu, India’s Dalmia Cement has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). The Rs.2.5 crore agreement, which was signed as part of the Participatory Integrated Watershed Development Project, will focus on developing watersheds in the villages of Melarasur and Kovandakurichi. It will include measures to avoid soil corrosion and enhance moisture levels, which will be carried out by the Dalmia Bharat Group Foundation. The project will be carried out over five years and is expected to help 6000 people.
