World Cement,
Indian cement producer Konark Cement, part of OCL Cement Ltd, has launched a new high strength DSP cement product designed for use in casting works: Konark DSP Cement. The company is hopeful that the new product will increase sales volume by around 25% in 2014.
Indrajit Chatterjee, Deputy Executive Director, Sales and Marketing at OCL, stated that the product is suitable for high endurance concrete casting and offers high compressive strength. Furthermore, good quality and zero loss in quantity are guaranteed due to the tamper and moisture proof packaging.
The new offering was developed based on consumer demand for cement that could be used specifically for roof casting; however, the product is also suited for customers looking for higher strength but who have limited space (e.g. thinner columns and walls).
The new DSP cement is approximately Rs.25 more expensive than other cement products, which are priced at around Rs.335 per 50 kg bag. Konark DSP Cement will be launched in the markets of West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand in May 2014.
