Power supply agreement for new DG Cement plant
K-Electric (KE) and DG Cement Ltd have signed a power supply agreement for the Pakistani cement manufacturer’s new plant in Hub, Balochistan. KE will supply 40 MW of electricity from its Hub Grid Station and DG Cement will develop a 12 km long transmission line of 132 kV.
The new cement plant, which is scheduled to go online by the end of 2017, will have a production capacity of 8500 tpd.
“We have been working very closely with companies and organisations that are heavily involved in reviving the economy of the country, and DG Cement Ltd is no different. We will continue to improve our network and will invest further so as to ensure a smooth and stable supply of electricity,” said K-Electric CEO Tayyab Tareen.
