Commissioning complete at West China Cement
West China Cement has announced that full commissioning of its Yangxian plant has been completed and commercial production commenced in the final week of March. The kiln was started up at the end of last year and the plant is currently running at full capacity. The Yangxian facility comprises a 2500 tpd clinker line and has a designed capacity of 1.1 million tpa of cement.
First sales
Zhang Jimin, Chief Executive of the company, said ‘the full commissioning of our Yangxian plant represents our first sales of cement produced in Hanzhong County, an area we see as strategically important in achieving a market leading position in southern Shaanxi province.’
On schedule elsewhere
West China Cement is on schedule with another project for a plant in Mianxian, Hanzhong County, where commissioning is expected to take place in the third quarter of this year.
