New orders for Gebr. Pfeiffer SE’s grinding technology

Malaysia

Gebr. Pfeiffer SE has received an order from general contractor TCDRI, China, to supply a coal mill to YTL. An MPS 2800 BK will be delivered to the company’s cement plant in Malaysia at the end of 2014. The mill will grind sub-bituminous coal with a total moisture content of 25% at a rate of 35 tph to a product fineness of 10% R µm. The mill will have an installed power of 700 kW.

Iraq

General contractor Sinoma Suzhou Construction has ordered two Gebr. Pfeiffer SE cement mills for installation at a cement plant in Sulaymaniyah. The mills will both be of the type MVR 6000 C-6, each with a drive power of 6000 kW. Depending on the product type, the mills will grind various cement qualities to finenesses between 3600 and 5500 cm2/g. Capacities will range between 132 and 210 tph. Delivery is scheduled for the end of this year.

Turkey

Gebr. Pfeiffer Se will also provide four mills for the Elazig cement plant in Turkey, with a delivery date of Spring 2015. Bilim Makina Insaat Sanayi ve Tic. A.S. awarded the contract to Gebr. Pfeiffer following the good performance of a Pfeiffer mill ordered for the Bartin plant in 2010.

The Elazig plant order comprises two MPS 5000 BC vertical roller mills for cement grinding, each with a drive power of 4400 kW and a capacity of 200 tph. These mills will grind OPC with a specific surface of 3400 cm2/g acc. to Blaine. An MPS 5000 B will grind cement raw material at a rate of 470 tph and to a fineness of 12% R 90 µm. This mill has an installed drive power of 3800 kW. The final mill will be an MPS 250 BK for coal grinding. This will have a drive power of 500 kW and include two safety shut-off dampers. The coal mill will grind petroleum coke to a fineness of 3.5% R µm at a rate of 35 tph.
