To celebrate its 8th anniversary, Semen Indonesia Group held a virtual celebration on 07 January which was attended by all employees at the company's operational locations. With the theme ‘Collaborate and Synergise to Continue Beyond Reach’ SIG is committed to continuing to innovate and develop technology to realise sustainable development for future generations.

The President Director of SIG, Hendi Prio Santoso, said that collaboration and synergy were key in this year's celebration. The celebration of SIG's anniversary brings good spirits to the company and motivates them to continue to innovate and exceed the reach.

Hendi Prio Santoso also said that in 2021 the company will be faced with more difficult challenges. Apart from intense competition, the pandemic that has been felt since last year has affected the opportunities and potential that can be achieved by the company. "With a sense of optimism and continued enthusiasm, we are sure that we will be able to rise to the challenge with even better achievements," he said.

Meanwhile, the President Commissioner of SIG, Rudiantara, said SIG should be grateful that the first nine months of 2020 were successful for the company despite facing the Covid-19 pandemic.

In its anniversary celebrations, the company gave Work Loyalty Awards to 309 employees. The award is given as an appreciation for the service period of employees who have worked for 10, 25, and 30 years.

In addition, the company also donated to help 1727 orphans, distributing 4150 food packages and personal protective equipment to the community in several of the company's operational areas, including Lhoknga (Aceh), Indarung (West Sumatra), Narogong (West Java), Cilacap and Rembang (Central Java), Tuban and Gresik (East Java) and Pangkep (South Sulawesi).
