Emami plans to invest in a new cement grinding unit
According to local media sources, India’s Emami has plans to construct a 1.5 million tpa cement grinding unit in West Bengal, with an initial investment of Rs500 crore. The location of the site has not yet been confirmed, but Bankura and Purulia have been named as possible options. The cement plant is expected to become operational in the next 2 – 3 years. Clinker will be sourced from Chhattisgarh.
