Holcim Lanka organises health camp for local communities
Holcim Lanka, together with the Lions Club of Galle Metropolitan, organised a free health camp at the end of February. The camp provided health services to more than 400 people in the local communities around the Galle cement grinding plant. This included eye tests, dental care and physical examinations.
“People are the base of our value pyramid whether its Holcim employees, customers or surrounding communities. Every year we incorporate our communities’ health and well-being into our CSR calendar as we understand the importance of such facilities in rural zones we operate in,” said Dharshani Lahandapura, CSR Manager at Holcim Lanka.
In addition to the grinding plant in Galle, Holcim Lanka operates an integrated cement plant in Puttalam and the Galle Cement Terminal.
