On 2 March, PV Mining, Sandvik Construction’s distributor for Mobile Crushers and Screens, Surface Drilling and Rock Tools, hosted its first ever Sandvik customer dat. The event demonstrated how equipment and expertise, when in combination with local support, can provide customer focused solutions for the quarrying, aggregates and mining industries in Thailand and throughout the region.
The event was one of the most successful and well-attended customer days for Sandvik equipment in South East Asia, with over 200 company representatives attending from Thailand and neighbouring countries. They represented a cross-section of businesses involved in quarrying, aggregate and cement production, as well as general construction.
During the customer event the attendees were provided with the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the Sandvik product offering, and to discuss their specific requirements with Sandvik and PV mining specialists. A series of presentations and talks were also arranged. Through these and individual discussions, equipment supply was shown to be only the beginning of the relationship with customers. On-going support, local servicing and advice being considered to be essential in helping to deliver solutions aimed at local conditions.
Attendees were particularly impressed with the combination of Sandvik equipment and the local expertise of PV Mining. Emphasis was given to mobile crushing and screening solutions, which are considered to be ideal for the requirements of companies in Thailand and the surrounding area. These included the market leading QJ341 jaw crusher, the QH441 Hydrocone crusher, QA451 triple deck Doublescreen and QE441 heavy duty scalper. As surface drilling is also extremely important to quarrying operations, the DX800 Ranger was displayed alongside a wide selection of drilling tools and aftermarket solutions.
The customer day itself was organised and hosted by Mr. Vichit Triyakul and Mr. Seni Triyakul, Chairman and Managing Director of PV Mining respectively. 150 people were invited prior to the event, but attendance exceeded expectations with over 200 attending. “We were delighted and pleased to see how well attended our first event was. Sandvik mobile crushers were very well accepted from our customers.” Said Mr. Seni Triyakul.
As well as Sandvik equipment and solutions specialists participating, members of the Sandvik Construction management team supported PV Mining. Dingui Gao, President, and Glenn Cooper, Sales Area Manager Pacific, were both delighted to attend. Eugene Lyons, Global Sales Director, and Paulo Prazeres, Sales Area Manager for the Pacific region, represented Sandvik Construction Mobile Crushers and Screens.
PV Mining & Exploration Co. Ltd.’s first ever Sandvik Construction customer day was a great success. It enabled the company to further introduce solutions aimed at the unique operating conditions found in the region. PV Mining is to be congratulated for hosting such a professional and well-planned event, and a special ‘thank you’ to all the company representatives who attended thereby making it so worthwhile.
