Changes in management at Anjani Portland Cement
Management has changed hands at Anjani Portland Cement, following Chettinad Cement’s acquisition of the company earlier this year. According to a company statement, K V Vishnu Raju has been appointed as the Non-Executive Director of the company (previously Managing Director) and Geetha Muthiah, wife of Chettinad Cement's MD MAMR Muthaiah, has been appointed as the new Managing Director. P V R L N Raju resigned as the Executive Director of Anjani Portland and has been appointed as the Non-Executive Director of the company.
Gujarat Sidhee Cement names four Additional Directors
Gujarat Sidhee Cement Ltd appointed four Additional Directors at the latest meeting of the company’s Board of Directors, which was held on 31 May 2014. Ms Juhi Chawla, Mrs Bhagyam Ramani, Mr M. N. Rao and Mr K. N. Bhandari have been named as Additional Directors of the company.
Ullrich Höhna new Head of Sales at Vattenfall
Ullrich Höhna has been appointed as the new Head of Sales for refined lignite products within the Vattenfall Europe Mining AG, effective 1 June 2014. He follows Helga Schulze, who has been responsible for this position since 2005 and who will retire. Ullrich Höhna comes from the mining division of Vattenfall in Germany. Since 1999 he has been Director and Head of the Mining Consulting & Engineering Department, for which he was active in international sales since 1991.
“I am looking forward to this exciting job and I am glad for the trust placed in me. My clear ambition is to continue the good sales work of the past years and to further improve it with all my experience,” said Höhna.
BASF appoints new head of Construction Chemicals division
Effective 1 September 2014, Ralf A. Spettmann, currently Senior Vice President, Pigments & Resins Europe, Ludwigshafen, will become President of the Construction Chemicals operating division, headquartered in Ludwigshafen. Spettmann succeeds Dr. Tilman Krauch, who will take up a new position at another company.
