Shree Cement’s Managing Director, HM Bangur, told CNBC-TV18 that the company’s cement capacity is soon to reach 24 million t with the commissioning of its new Chhattisgarh unit. Mr Bangur expects sales to be between 17.5 and 18 million t in the next financial year, following about 15.5 million t this fiscal (ending 31 March). In the interview, he expressed hope that with the help of government initiatives, cement demand would grow by about 10%.
